of our continuous improvement culture.
International Standard
Organization ISO 9001 Quality Systems
Since 1991, Toowoomba Metal Technologies quality control
systems and procedures have been accredited to the international
recognized standard ISO 9001.
International Standard Organization ISO 14001 Environmental
Systems
Toowoomba Metal Technologies is the first Australian
foundry to have achieved international recognition to
ISO14001, of our environmental management systems for
the operation of a ferrous foundry, machine shop, warehouse
and related support functions. We were awarded accreditation
in June 1998.
Greenhouse Challenge
Greenhouse Challenge is a voluntary program for Australian
industries to set themselves greenhouse gas reduction
targets and promise to use best practice energy efficient
production methods to attain them.
Toowoomba Metal Technologies has achieved a reduction
in emission levels through energy initiatives of 40%
from 1990 levels, and are targeting a further 10% by
2002, bring the total reduction to 50%. This is a 5
fold improvement over the ECC target of 10% from 1990
to 2010 levels.
Product Certification
Since 1992 , Toowoomba Metal Technologies has held a
Standards Mark Licence for the manufacture of pressure
pipe fittings.
